This delicate and vivid orange pendant is anchored with earthy jade chips. The fun color combination is sure to garner attention.
Step one: Cut a length of ZambaPro™ 49 .019 jewelry wire to approximately 18 inches long. Attach one end to a small open jump ring using a 2x2mm crimp tube. For detailed instructions on how to use a crimp tube, please see the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center. Attach the jump ring to one end of the hook and eye clasp.
Step two: Randomly string sections of jade chips followed by 6mm Czech fire polished beads in hyacinth, 6mm Swarovski faceted bicone in purple velvet and 4mm Swarovski bicone sun alone or in combinations. After you have strung approximately 7 inches of beads, string a 6mm bicone and 6mm fire polished round next to one another, then continue with the random pattern for 7 more inches.
Step three: Crimp the remainder of the wire to another small sterling silver jump ring with a 2x2mm crimp tube. Attach that jump ring to the available side of the hook and eye clasp. SEE NOTE BELOW.
Step four: Attach the pendant to the center of the necklace, where you put the bicone and fire-polished round side by side using the large sterling silver jump ring. NOTE: When working with chips, pull the wire through the last crimp tube but do not crimp. Twist the chips on the strand. They will settle into one another and often leave your design loose and wire showing. This will give you a chance to tighten the wire again before crimping.
