This necklace is truly opulent! Strung with fine freshwater pearls and a gorgeous initial pendant that was originally handcrafted in metal clay by a local artist, then cast in bronze and hand-polished for a truly vintage and elegant look. Don't let the price tag scare you; there are more than enough pearls in here for a stunning bracelet or two complete necklaces! Just add a pendant and a few crystals and you are in business!
Step one: Set two Swarovski 8mm light Colorado topaz crystals, the Swarovski 12mm light Colorado topaz crystal, all of the Swarovski 3mm light Colorado topaz and one 5-5.5mm white potato pearl aside. These will be used to finish the necklace.
Step two: Cut three twenty-five inch strands of ZambaPro™ 49 .014 jewelry wire. Set two of them aside. Place a bead stopper on one end of the jewelry wire. Mix and match from the remaining Swarovski 6mm light Colorado topaz, Swarovski 8mm light Colorado topaz, the bronze head drilled pearls, the caramel large nugget pearls, the light gold rice pearls, the 6-6.5mm white potato pearls, the white head drilled pearls, the white rice pearls, the 5-5.5mm white potato pearls and the white large nugget pearls to a length of nine inches. Add the bronze antique style letter pendant and then another nine inches of beads. Adjust the bead stopper so that the pendant and beads are centered on the strand of jewelry wire and place a bead stopper on the other end as well.
Step three: Add one of the remaining pieces of jewelry wire to one of the bead stoppers on the necklace. String nine inches of beads, run the wire through the bronze pendant and then add nine more inches of beads. Clamp with the bead stopper. Repeat for the third strand.
Step four: On one end of the necklace, remove the bead stopper and gather all three strands of jewelry wire. Add an 8mm light Colorado topaz crystal and a 14K/20 gold-filled 2x2mm crimp tube. Crimp. Add a 5-5.5mm white potato pearl, a crimp tube, the 12mm faceted round light Colorado topaz and a 3mm faceted round light Colorado topaz. Run the wire back through the 12mm topaz and the crimp tube. Crimp and trim the excess wire.
Step five: Remove the bead stopper from the on the other side of the necklace. Gather the three jewelry wires and add an 8mm light Colorado topaz and a crimp tube. On one of the wires add seventeen 3mm light Colorado topaz and thread it back through the crimp tube. Cinching it to form a loop. Crimp and trim the excess wire.
