Step one: String a Dakota Stones pyrite 4mm round bead onto a sterling silver 24 gauge 1.25-inch ball-end head pin. Use the BeadSmith 1-step lopper plier to create a simple loop at the top of the head pin. See our Handy Tip Video for more instruction on how to use this tool. String a Dakota Stones matte onyx 4mm round bead onto the head pin and add the pyrite dangle to the head pin. Create a simple loop at the top of this head pin.
Step two: String a matte onyx bead onto a head pin and add the connected dangles from the previous step to the head pin. Create a simple loop at the top of this head pin. Keep stringing beads on head pins and add the connected dangles to each head pin as you go. Follow this pattern for adding beads to your head pins: pyrite bead, pyrite bead, matte onyx bead, matte onyx bead, pyrite bead, pyrite bead, matte onyx bead, matte onyx bead.
Step three: Create a simple loop on your last head pin and attach the dangle to the ball end earwire. Repeat these steps to create the other earring.
