This Mommy and Me project was planned as a party we like to call Bead Soup. We invited the neighborhood moms and children over for a fun in the sun craft day. The idea is to gather all kinds of beads, charms, flatbacks and other components that you might have on hand or left-over from other projects and form a Bead Soup. We chose to decorate visors with the beads we collected.
Use a dab of E6000 or Amazing Goop craft adhesive to attach your choice of beads and charms. Not surprising, the kids wanted a lot of detail on their visors. They chose from a variety of acrylic resin components including flowers, butterflies, leaves and stars. They also enjoyed choosing from an assortment of base metal charms ranging from pirates and sailing ships to seahorses and flip flops. Some children used pressed Czech glass beads and even some pewter spacers on their visors. The moms used the same components to detail their visors and added a touch of sparkle with some CRYSTALLIZED™ round and leaf shaped flatback rhinestones.
