Inspired by a mythical forest, this necklace design displays an enchanting blend of rich mahogany and golden hues offset by sparkling green crystals. An occasional sheen of iridescence adds a sense of whimsy to this necklace which possesses the elegance for formal occasions but will also look lovely with casual attire.
Step one: Attach a gold-plated open jump ring to the back of the top petal on a Kabela Design frosted gold flower chandelier pendant using 5 minute two part epoxy so that half of the jump ring hangs over the edge and allow to it dry. Glue six 6mm Swarovski 6mm roundelles in Khaki AB over the holes on the pendant using epoxy.
Step two: Cut a 22-inch piece of ZambaPro™ 49 .019 jewelry wire. Attach the loop of the gold-plated pewter star-shaped flower toggle to the wire using a 14k/20 gold-filled 2x2mm crimp tube, for help using crimp tools refer to the handy tips section of the learning center. Next, thread a TierraCast® antique gold jasmine beadcap so that it points away from the clasp.
Step three: Thread one 6mm Swarovski faceted roundelle in Khaki AB, one 6mm Swarovski round Copper pearl, one 6mm Swarovski round Maroon pearl and one Copper pearl. Repeat this pattern three times. Thread one roundelle followed by one 5mm gold-filled round matte bead. Repeat the first pattern three more times. Next, thread one roundelle, one beadcap, one 10mm round Gold pearl bead and one beadcap. Repeat the first pattern twice and then add one more roundelle.
Step four: Attach a brass with etched center line pinch bail to the pendant and thread the pendant onto the necklace. This marks the center point of the design, to complete the necklace simple mirror the beads you have already strung. Finish by attaching the bar of the toggle clasp with a crimp tube.
