Inspiration Necklace Instructions Designed by Cynthia Kimura
Wear your beliefs on this beautiful necklace and show the world how you feel! We now have over 70 message beads. Surely you will find the right ones to suit your personal credo. In the instructions we will use the beads featured in the picture, but of course you are welcome to use any message bead you like.
Step one: Begin by cutting two lengths of ZP49-30F-019 jewelry wire. One should be about 20 inches and the other about 23 inches. You will want to work from the center for this design. Beginning with the longer strand, string the "Comfort" bead, you will make equal patterns on both sides of the bead working out from the center. First string a 4mm faceted Swarovski sapphire bead, a sterling silver spacer disc, 4mm faceted round aquamarine, disc, and another sapphire. Follow that with another message bead on each side. In this design we used "Success" and "Fortune". Repeat the bead pattern and then add two 4mm faceted round Swarovski crystal beads followed by four 2mm sterling silver seamless round beads. Set this strand carefully aside for the moment.
Step two: On the other strand begin with the sapphire bead pattern in the center of the design, then add the "Health" and "Joy" beads. Follow with the sapphire bead pattern again on both sides and finish with two crystal rounds and four 2mm silver rounds.
Step three: You will now join the two strands. The safest way to do this is to bring them together and using masking tape, lightly tape one end of the wires together so the beads do not slip off. On the other side, string a 6mm bright sterling silver roundel. For the rest of the design, both wires will pass through the center of each bead. The pattern going out from the center goes as follows: 6mm faceted round Swarovski sapphire bead, 4mm bright sterling silver roundel, 6mm faceted round Swarovski aquamarine bead, roundel, sapphire bead, roundel, 6mm sterling silver corrugated round bead and another 4mm roundel. Repeat this pattern four more times for a total of five pattern segments.
Step four: Just before adding the last corrugated bead, pass both wires through a 2x2mm sterling silver crimp tube and close with a crimp pliers. Snip one of the wires. String the corrugated bead over the top to hide the crimp and follow with the final roundel. Attach the end of the wire to a sterling silver open jump ring. Attach the jump ring to one side of the clasp. Trim excess wire.
Step five: Repeat the pattern on the other side of the necklace.
