| This necklace has tons of texture and unique techniques that will really draw the eye. It has, as its focal piece, a wish box. These little boxes open like a locket so you can keep your wishes inside!
Step one: Using one foot of chain, string the silk cord through every other link of the chain. It will naturally "pop" the unstrung links to the top and bottom of the silk, adding dimension. When you are done with this step, clamp the necklace tightly (and centered) in a Chain Sta.
Step two: Attach a large open jump ring to the top of the wish box and a smaller jump ring to the first. Find the center of the chain and add the wish box pendant to the center link.
Step three: String each of your beads on a head pin and finish with a simple loop that does not quite close all the way. For instructions on how to make a simple loop, please visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center.
Step four: Count out 16 links from the center and attach two 4mm bicone dangles along with one 4mm powder rose, all on the same link. Close the loops. Count eight more loops and repeat this step, and eight more to finish. This pattern is repeated on both sides of the necklace.
Step five: Slide a capped round bead on each end of the silk and tie a simple overhand knot.
Approximate length: Depends on the length of the bow, you will have about 34 inches untied finished length.
