Be ready for any black tie affair with a necklace that's both elegant and strong. Laced with feminine Swarovski pearls and soft black suede, this necklace is perfect for complementing wedding attire.
Step one:
Cut two pieces of silver-plated small oval link chain approximately 10 inches long. Cut two pieces of black ultra micro fiber suede approximately 9 1/4 inches long. Cut one piece of jewelry wire approximately 8 inches long.
Step two:
Glue each end of the suede strands to a JBB sterling silver U-shape 6mm ribbon end. Read how to use an endcap by reading our Handy Tip in the Learning Center.
Step three:
Attach one jump ring to one end of the jewelry wire using a sterling 2x2mm crimp tube. Learn how to use a crimp tube by reading our Handy Tip if you need help. String the following beads onto the wire:
three Swarovski 8mm White round pearls
one TierraCast 5mm black finish pewter plain heishi spacer
three Swarovski 10mm White round pearls
one spacer
one 12mm Swarovski White round pearl
String one JBB antique silver-plated brass flower bush hollow round bead onto the wire, then create a mirror image of pearls and spacers on the other side.
Step four:
Finish the open wire end using a second crimp tube and jump ring.
Step five:
Connect one end from each suede strand and chain strand to each jump ring. If you need more help with jump rings, watch our Handy Tip video available in the Learning Center. Attach a second jump ring to both open ends. Connect the bar portion of the white silver-plated brass cut out circle toggle to one jump ring and the loop portion of the clasp to the other.
