This sweet tweet of a necklace features soft earth tones like olive green and brown, brought together by a lovely resin focal. Its casual feel is ideal for a relaxing get together or for accenting office attire.
Step one:
Cut one piece of ZambaPro jewelry wire to 24 inches long and cut 24 inches of both the SilverSilk 3mm violet-plated copper knit over gold-plated brass bead chain and SilverSilk 3mm gold-plated copper knit over silver-plated brass bead chain.
Step two:
Attach each end of the SilverSilk strands to a JBB sterling silver fancy cone pinch bail using E6000 glue and crimp down using nylon jaw pliers for a firm grip. Read our Handy Tip on how to use SilverSilk if you need help.
Step three:
Connect the pinch bails from both SilverSilk strands to a single sterling silver open jump ring, and repeat for the other side. Watch our Handy Tip video if you need help opening and closing jump rings. Attach one of the jump rings to the bottom left loop of the JBB antique silver-plated brass flower with stems 2 ring link and the other jump ring to the right-side loop of the JBB antique silver-plated brass flowers with leaves curved link.
Step four:
Attach one end of the jewelry wire from Step one to a jump ring using a sterling 2x2mm crimp tube. Read our Handy Tip in the Learning Center for how to work with crimp tubes if you need help. Connect this jump ring to the right-side loop of the flowers with leaves curved link. There should now be two jump rings connected to this loop.
Step five:
String the jewelry wire with 4mm jonquil and 4mm olivine druk beads in a random fashion. Add the TierraCast® brass oxide pewter paloma bead and the Swarovski 8mm Topaz Blend butterfly bead somewhere along the strand for an asymmetrical pattern. Finish the wire with a jump ring and crimp tube as before. Attach this jump ring to the upper left loop of the 2 ring link.
Step six:
Attach a jump ring to both sides of the Taina Hartman 18x25mm birds nest on olive background sterling/resin pendant, and connect them to either link to create the focal for the necklace.
