Remember playing with Shrinky Dinks® as a kid? You can still make amazing designs you'll find cool as a grown-up that you can use in jewelry! Artbeads President and Co-Owner Cynthia loves birds so she made cute bird shapes for her necklace, but you can create pieces that reflect what you love!
We used our StāzOn ink pad to stamp the birds on the shrinking material with purchased stamps, cutting one design into a square shape and the other two into bird shapes. Be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions for shrinking the plastic correctly.

Step one:
Attach each finished plastic piece and the Nunn Design antique silver-plated small circle bird tag to its own sterling silver open jump ring. Watch our Handy Tip video to learn how to properly open and close a jump ring.
Step two:
Cut the antique silver-plated textured oval cable chain into one 18-inch long strand and cut the 12x9mm antique silver-plated oval chain into one 26-inch long strand. Attach one jump ring to both ends of each chain.
Step three:
Find the center of the 12x9mm oval chain and attach the square-shaped plastic piece. Attach the small circle bird tag to the center of the textured oval cable chain. Attach the small plastic bird charms you created one inch from each side of the small circle bird tag.
Step four:
Connect one end from each chain to the bar portion of the JBB sterling silver 5-petal flower toggle clasp. Connect the other ends of each chain to the loop portion of the clasp.
