Time will fly when you're making this fun and intricate necklace! Featuring a variety of components like Swarovski crystal, LillyPilly shell and seed beads, this piece demonstrates that there really is no limit on how you can blend different materials together. The warm amber coloring accented by antique brass-plated pewter gives this necklace a vintage feel that's perfect as a gift of encouragement for any age.
Step one: Glue the tab shell round Chick pendant to the TierraCast® brass oxide pewter clock charm so the bird image appears inside the clock face using E6000 glue. Allow to dry. Glue the TierraCast® antique gold-plated pewter wing charms to either side of the tab shell round pendant so the wings are pointing down. Allow to dry. Trace the outline of the pendant onto Lacy's Stiff Stuff 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch single sheet and cut it out. Color it to match the pendant using a permanent marker or fabric dye. We colored ours black. Use E6000 to attach the Stiff Stuff to the back of your pendant. Set aside.
Step two: Cut two equal pieces of ZambaPro™ 49.019 jewelry wire to half the desired length of the necklace. We cut ours into 8-inch long pieces. Attach one end of each wire to one side of your pendant from step one using a 14K/20 gold-filled 2x2mm crimp tube and bead crimper tool. For help using a bead crimper tool, visit the handy tips section of the learning center.
Step three: String three Miyuki 1.8mm transparent silver-lined gold square cut beads onto each wire. Add one Miyuki 5mm metallic golden rainbow Tila square tube bead onto both wires to connect them together. Each wire should be threaded through one of the two drilled holes on the tube bead.
Step four: String three more square cut beads onto each wire, then thread both wires onto a Swarovski 5180 14mm double hole square bead in Crystal Copper.
Step five: Repeat step three twelve times. Add three more square cut beads onto each wire. Adjust your beads appropriately so they fit evenly on the wire.
Step six: Use chain nose pliers to connect each wire to a 4.5mm antique brass-plated 21 gauge open jump ring using a crimp tube. Attach another jump ring to each. For help with jump rings, visit the handy tips section of the learning center. Bring these two jump rings together by attaching them to one larger 5.5mm antique brass-plated 21 gauge open jump ring. Attach this 5.5mm jump ring to the loop portion of the antique vintage brass-plated pewter flower toggle clasp and close.
Repeat steps two through four for the other side of the pendant, replacing the loop portion of the toggle clasp with the bar portion.
