With vibrant garden colors apparent in all aspects of the piece, this Primrose Maiden necklace makes a wonderful statement for your evening outfits. The stunning design is simple to make yet creates an elaborate look.
Step one:
Cut two 10-inch long pieces of jewelry wire, one 2.5-inch piece of satin Hamilton gold-plated round links on round cable chain and one 0.5-inch piece of round links on round cable chain and set aside.
Step two:
Thread the Swarovski 9mm teardrop in Indicolite and one Swarovski 4mm faceted round in Fern Green onto the gold-filled 020 1.5-inch head pin and finish with a simple loop. Attach to the eye of the gold-filled 1.5-inch eye pin and finish with a simple loop. Attach to the eye of the gold-filled 1.5-inch eye pin, and then thread the eye pin with one Swarovski 4mm round pearl in Bordeaux, the largest of the Grace Lampwork tropical flower mix graduated roundel bead and one Fern Green 4mm faceted round. Finish the eye pin by attaching it to one end of the 0.5-inch long cable chain and finish with a simple loop.
Step three:
Thread the 25x36mm Primrose by Mucha on black onyx rectangle bead onto the sterling silver 2-inch, 22 gauge eye pin. Attach the eye portion to one 6mm gold-plated jump ring and connect the jump ring to the open end of the chain from Step two. For help with jump rings, watch our Handy Tip video in the Learning Center. Finish the open end of the sterling silver eye pin with a simple loop and attach it to a second 6mm jump ring. Connect this jump ring to the center of the 2/5-inch piece of cable chain.
Step four:
Attach one jewelry wire strand to the left side of the 2.5-inch cable chain using a 14K/20 gold-filled 2x2mm crimp tube. Simply thread the wire through one round cable link on the chain and secure with the crimp tube. Read our Handy Tip if you need help using crimp tubes.
Step five:
Thread one 4mm Fern Green faceted round, one Swarovski 6mm round pearl in Bordeaux and two lampwork beads onto the wire. Then, thread the following pattern:
one 6mm Bordeaux round pearl
one 4mm Fern Green faceted round
five Swarovski 6mm faceted rounds in Indicolite
Repeat this pattern three more times, then attach the bar portion of the JBB brass falling leaf toggle clasp to the end of the wire using a second crimp tube.
Step six:
Repeat steps four and five to the right side of the focal, substituting the loop portion of the clasp in Step five.
