Turn a woodland fantasy into reality with this nature-inspired design. Natural materials fused with warm metal create perfect balance and will highlight earth-toned outfits.
Step one:
Cut three strands of jewelry wire approximately 19 inches long. Cut two strands of wire approximately 6 inches long. Cut the antique brass-plated textured oval cable chain into two equal strands approximately 10 ½ inches long. Set them all aside.
Step two:
Attach one end of each 18-inch strand to one 5.5mm antique brass-plated 21 gauge open jump ring using 14K/20 gold-filled 2x2mm crimp tubes. For help on using crimp tubes read our Handy Tip in the Learning Center.
Step three:
String each 18-inch wire with the following beads in a random fashion:
Miyuki 11/0 galvanized Dk. aqua delicas
Miyuki 11/0 metallic AB matte dark green/teal delica seed beads
TOHO™ 15/0 matte soft brown bead rounds
mint green nugget freshwater pearls
Secure each strand end with a Bead Stopper then finish each end with another crimp tube. Connect them all to a single second jump ring.
Step four:
Attach the end of one 6-inch wire to one jump ring using a crimp tube. String the following pattern three times on the wire:
one TierraCast copper antique small Turkish heishi spacer
one mint green nugget pearl
one matte dark green/teal delica
one pearl
one delica
one pearl
Finish the strand with one more spacer and then attach it to another jump ring using a crimp tube. Repeat Step four for the other 6-inch wire.
Step five:
Attach one jump ring to each end of the chain strands. Learn how to open and close jump rings by watching our Handy Tip Video.
Step six:
Connect one end from both the 3-strand jump ring and the chain jump ring to the bee portion of the Kabela Design antique brass flower and bee hook and eye clasp and the other ends of each to the flower portion of the clasp.
Step seven:
Attach the remaining chain ends to their own TierraCast brass oxide pewter 6 petal flower link. Connect each link to one end of the 6-inch wire strands.
Step eight:
Attach the remaining ends to jump rings and then, to the JBB antique brass-plated pewter swallowtail butterfly charm.
