A perfect reflection of cidade maravilhosa, this bright and beautiful necklace is laced with subtle sparkle and pops of color just like the marvelous city. Art really imitates life in this stunning multi-stranded design that will add hot style to any outfit.
Step one:
Cut one piece of jewelry wire approximately 27 inches long. Cut one piece of hand-dyed silk peach with blue edges approximately 18 inches long.
Step two:
Insert each end of the silk ribbon inside one JBB gold-plated pewter ancient design crimp end with loop using E6000 glue. Learn how to use a crimp end by reading our Handy Tip in the Learning Center. Allow the piece to dry.
Step three:
Thread the jewelry wire through the center hole of one sterling silver magic multipurpose finding. Leave approximately 3 inches of wire sticking out of the end. String one Swarovski 6mm round pearl in Lapis, one Swarovski 6mm round pearl in Jade and one Swarovski 6mm round pearl in Rose Peach. Repeat this two more times, and then reverse the pattern three times.
Step four:
Thread the wire through a side hole of the second magic finding, and then bring it back down through the closest hole to the one you came up through (not the center hole). Pull the wire tight so it lays flat.
Step five:
String the same pattern of pearls onto a second strand, bring the wire back through the first magic finding, and then string a third strand. When you have finished stringing the pearls on the last strand bring the wire up through the center hole of the magic finding. Use the magic finding pliers to crimp each magic finding. Step six:
Add one JBB gold-plated pewter end cap to each end of the jewelry wire by pulling the wire tail through the hole on the end cap and then pulling the end cap over the magic findings. Then, string the following pattern onto each wire tail: one 6mm Rose Peach pearl, one 6mm Jade pearl and one TierraCast gold Kenyan heishi spacer. Add one Swarovski 10mm round pearl in Lapis, then create a mirror image on the other side. Finish the wire by attaching it to one 6mm gold-plated jump ring using a 14K/20 gold-filled 2x2mm crimp tube. Learn how to use a crimp tube by reading our Handy Tip in the Learning Center.
Step seven:
Attach the crimp ends from step two to the jump rings from step six. Learn how to open and close a jump ring by watching our Handy Tip video in the Learning Center.
Step eight:
Attach the Swarovski 50mm Pegasus pendant in Crystal Luminous Green to the 12mm satin hamilton gold-plated 13 gauge open jump ring and connect it to the center of the multi-stranded piece. This will create a gathered look.
