Finish your bohemian style with the perfect accessory! This multi-dimensional necklace incorporates elements of nature blended with chic metal in dark, neutral tones.
Step one:
Cut the jewelry wire into one 10-inch strand and two 12-inch strands. Cut two strands of 1.5mm brown leather approximately 11 inches long.
Step two:
Use E6000 glue to attach each end of the leather strands to a JBB 2mm antique copper-plated pewter fancy crimp end with loop. Learn how to use an end cap by reading our Handy Tip in the Learning Center.
Step three:
Attach one end of one 12-inch wire strand to an 8mm antique copper-plated open jump ring using a 14K/20 gold-filled 2x2mm crimp tube. If you need help using crimp tubes read our Handy Tip in the Learning Center. Connect one end of the leather strand to the jump ring. Step four:
String the following pattern onto the jewelry wire:
one 8mm druk bead in peach pearl coat
one TierraCast copper antique small Turkish heishi spacer
one Swarovski 8mm faceted round in Topaz Blend
one spacer
one Swarovski 14mm round large hole pearl in Antique Brass
one spacer
one 8mm faceted round
one spacer
Repeat this pattern five more times, then add one more peach druk bead. Finish the strand by attaching it to one 6mm antique copper-plated open jump ring using a crimp tube. Connect the other end of the leather strand to this jump ring.
Step five:
Attach the 8 1/2 inch wire strand to the 6mm jump ring using a crimp tube. String the following pattern onto the wire:
one spacer
one decoupage old world design large coin bead
one spacer
one 8mm faceted round
Repeat this pattern three more times and then add one spacer, one decoupage coin bead and one more spacer. Attach this strand to a 6mm jump ring with a crimp tube.
Step six:
Using pliers, open the last link on the antique copper-plated 1 oval rope to 3 rope circles link chain like a jump ring and connect it to the 8mm jump ring from step two and the 27x17mm antique copper-plated trigger clasp.
Step seven:
Create a mirror image on the other side of the strand from Step five with the second leather cord and 12-inch jewelry wire.
Step eight:
Connect the other end of the link chain to the second 8mm jump ring.
