I Do Wedding Dress Instructions Designed by Artbeads
Be ready to walk down the aisle in style with your own personalized wedding dress! This idea incorporates subtle touches of color and sparkle to keep everyone's eye on you all day and long after the night's over.
To make your dress one of a kind, you can follow our steps in a basic manner, adjusting the process to fit your style. Simply find a used wedding dress at any consignment shop that fits your personality, then embellish.
Step one: Decorate any raised embellishments on the dress with Patina Gilders Paste using a cotton swab. Gently dab the Gilders Paste along the embroidered lace and allow it to dry completely. If you need more help on how to use Gilders Paste, read our Handy Tip available in the Learning Center.
Step two: Add extra sparkle to existing beaded detail by stitching a floral pattern of Swarovski crystals and seed beads using crystal Fireline thread. Thread one beading needle with approximately three feet of Fireline.
Step three: Bring the needle up from underneath the dress to sit between the existing beaded pattern. Thread the needle with one Swarovski 6mm margarita bead in Crystal Transmission V and one TOHO 15/0 bead in jonquil lined aqua. Bring the needle back down through the dress to secure the beads. Repeat this process with one Swarovski 4mm XILION bicone in Light Peach, bringing the needle to the side of the margarita bead embellishment and back under.
Follow these steps to complete the entire dress with as much detail as desired.
