The Huxtables Bracelet Instructions Designed by Teri McCamish
The Huxtables were a TV family everyone could relate to at any age. Their real-life situations humbled with wholesome values sparkled through the successful dad and five kids, all with unique personalities. Though father Cliff got a lot of laughs, it was the mom, Claire Huxtable, who kept the family together. She was fair, patient, kind and very wise. Gathering around her kitchen table meant more than nourishment—it meant youÂ’d get a serving of Claire wisdom (and Cliff wouldnÂ’t get to finish that pizza he was sneaking). For Claire Huxtable we present this MotherÂ’s Day bracelet.
Step one: Cut two pieces of jewelry wire approximately 8 inches long. Connect one end from each wire to one part of the sterling silver 2-strand heart clasp using sterling 2x2mm crimp tubes. Read our Handy Tip in the Learning Center on how to use a crimp tool if you need help.
Step two: Cover each crimp tube with a sterling silver 3mm crimp cover. Read our Handy Tip on how to use a crimp cover if you need help.
Step three: String one blank sterling silver 4.5mm alphabet bead onto each strand and then string one Hill Tribe silver 2-hole spacer onto both strands to connect them.
Step four: Personalize your bracelet with your own letters to spell out you and/or your siblings' names and string the appropriate birthstone colors on either side of each name. Add one 2-hole spacer halfway across the strands, and use the blank alphabet beads to keep the pattern symmetrical. You can also incorporate a few sterling silver 4.5mm heart letter beads onto the bracelet like we did.
Step five: Finish the bracelet with one more 2-hole spacer and one blank alphabet bead on the strands. Connect the open ends to the other part of the heart clasp with a second crimp tube and crimp cover.
