Metallite® (Metallized Plastic) 4x3mm Antique Silver Stacked Tube Bead
These tiny 4x3mm antique silver Metallite® stacked tube beads will add a great texture to your jewelry designs without detracting from the other elements. Each bead is comprised of three tubes that are separated by an oxidized ring. Use them as spacers with your favorite crystals and pendants or string a few together for a geometric pattern. These high quality beads are metal-plated plastic, making them incredibly lightweight so don't be afraid to string a bunch of them together. Thanks to their light weight and low cost, Metallite beads are great for craft projects and children's jewelry designing.

Versatile, Great-looking, Lightweight BeadJune 30, 2011
I love Metallite! I discovered silver-looking plastic beads about a year ago. I'd been pretty "snobby" about any non-vintage plastic beads. About a year ago I picked up a glass and metal bracelet, and discovered it it was a mixture of acrylic, Metallite, glass, and real metal. I loved the design, and really loved the weight!

ArtBeads is the only place online that I've seen these great beads. I ordered just a few of these little spacers 2 months ago, and was so impressed I immediately ordered more (a lot more), in this shape and several others. This shape is still my favorite.

I recommend you try these beads, and the others: they are inexpensive enough to keep a lot of varieties in stock. If you only make finished products with metal beads, practicing with Metallite is still a great idea.
