This charming pendant pairs inviting earth tones with brilliant metallic accents for a look that is both earthy and high fashion. Although this design appears complex, it is surprisingly simple to construct. Step one: First construct ten acorn dangles. To create a dangle, thread a seed bead, a round bead, a bead cap and another seed bead onto a head pin. Choose a headpin in a metal that matches the color palette of each acorn. We used the following bead with bead cap pairings: a 6mm druk bead in madeira topaz crackle with a Bali sterling silver granulated bead cap, a 6mm druk bead in opaque green luster with a Bali sterling silver granulated bead cap, a 6mm Swarovski round pearl in Light Green with a sterling silver simple flower bead cap, an 8mm Swarovski round pearl in Copper with a Tierracast® gold-plated radiant dome bead cap, an 8mm Swarovski round pearl in Brown with a sterling silver domed twist cut out bead cap, an 8mm druk bead in olivine crackle with a 9mm TierraCast® antique silver joy bead cap, an 8mm druk bead in topaz crackle with an antique brass bead cap, an 8mm Swarovski round pearl in Platinum with a Tierracast® antique copper-plated radiant dome bead cap, an 8mm Swarovski round pearl in Deep Brown with a 9mm TierraCast® antique copper joy bead cap and an 8mm Swarovski round pearl in Antique Brass with a Tierracast® rhodium-plated radiant dome bead cap. Set the dangles aside. Step two: Make a chain of nine 4.5mm antique brass-plated 21 gauge open jump rings. Attach an antique brass fan pendant bail to one end of the chain. Use a simple loop to attach one dangle to each jump ring on the chain. You will have one dangle leftover to attach where you see fit on the chain.
