Lavender Lane Bracelet Instructions Designed by Cheri Carlson
When you have the perfect mix of colors, it's easy to create fabulous jewelry. Our Artbeads Designer Seed Bead Blend feature dazzling color palettes that allow you to focus on designing without having to pick out colors. Cheri created this loomed bracelet using a random pattern of seed beads from our Lilac Designer Blend. You can see more ideas for using Designer Blends in your projects in this Artbeads Cafe episode.
Step one: Follow the manufacturer's instructions on how to warp the Ricks Beading Loom using this guideline: for a bracelet with a 7 to 7 1/2-inch wrist size, set the loom to approximately 163mm for 62 rows of seed beads. You can watch this video tutorial for more help with setting up your loom.
Step two: Use beads from the Artbeads Lilac Designer Blend to add 10 beads to each row of your bracelet. Please see our Handy Tip on how to add weft thread to the loom if you run short part of the way through your project. If you reach the end of your bracelet and still want to add a row or two to the pattern, see this Handy Tip. This technique will allow you to add rows to the beginning of the bracelet, too.
Step three: To add the Czech glass 18mm round flower design purple with gold and silver paint glass button to the end of your bracelet, make sure your thread is coming out of the fifth seed bead in the fourth row from the end. Add the button to the thread and loop the thread around the button several times. Bring your thread through the sixth seed bead over and loop around that bead several times. Loop back around through the beads and the button several times to reinforce. Then secure and trim the thread.
Step four: To add the loop, make sure your thread is coming out of the second seed bead in the second row from the other end of your bracelet. Add two seed beads and go through the third seed bead in the second row. Go back up through the two added seed beads and then back down through beads three and two in the second row. Go back through the two added seed beads and then go through beads three and two in the third row. Loop through the beads several times to reinforce.
Step five: With your thread coming out between the two added seed beads, add 18 seed beads to the thread. Stitch the last two beads to the third and second beads over from the other end of the second and third row as you did in the previous step. Secure and trim your thread.
