Our designer loves working with donut pendants, but struggled to find an attractive way to attach the pendant to her necklace designs. With this simple and beautiful technique, you can make a stunning necklace in less than an hour!
Step one: Pull the three silk strands through two sterling silver cutout tubes. Make sure the ends line up and tie the strands together in a knot as close to the end as is reasonable. Pull one of the beads tight against the knot. Make another knot in the other end of the strands and slide the other bead to that end.
Step two: Cut at least 24 inches of Soft Touch .019 jewelry wire and put one end in a Bead Stopper. String a 2mm crimp tube on the wire. Make sure the crimp tube and Bead Stopper are at the back of the pendant. Begin randomly stringing your Swarovski crystals and Hill Tribe silver roundels through the center of the Lillypilly shell donut and around the three silk strands. Pull the beaded bail tight as you wrap to give it a more jumbled, full appearance.
Step three: When you have strung all of the beads, bring the ends of the wire together at the back of the pendant. String the remaining end of the wire through the crimp tube and pull both ends tight. Crimp and trim the excess wire.
