Kitchen Chalkboard Instructions Designed by Cynthia Kimura
We all need to leave notes for our family and roommates, why not do it on a beautiful, fun chalkboard? This board is easy to make and fun to use.
Step one: Purchase a small chalkboard from your local craft store. We also chose to add a thin wooden heart, both of which we painted lavender before beginning. Of course, you can paint them whatever colors you choose. Make sure all the glue and paint is dry before you affix your rhinestones.
Step two: Glue charms of your choice to the corners of your board using E6000 glue.
Step three: Apply SS16 Swarovski crystal light rose AB rhinestones in even spaces around the heart (or any other shape you apply). For instructions on how to apply the rhinestones, please use the instructions for How to Apply Swarovski Flatbacks. Unlike the handy tip you are using wood and E6000 rather than the other adhesive, but the techniques are the same. As an alternative to the beeswax and straw, try our Perfect Positioner.
Step four: Alternate SS34 Swarovski peridot and light rose AB crystal rhinestones at half inch increments around the edge of the chalkboard. Between each stone, glue another SS16 light rose AB crystal. Allow to dry. Estimated time: Under 3 hours
