Designed by Katie Hacker
Double-drilled beads from Dakota Stones are the perfect complement to an elegant watch face. Using gemstone beads and a simple watch component, Katie Hacker created a sophisticated design that will help you tell the time. You can see her and Kristal Wick present this bracelet on this Beads, Baubles and Jewels segment
. Follow the steps below to create this watch and make sure to keep your eyes open for gemstone beads that inspire you!
Cut a length of elasticity approximately 14 inches long. String it through one open loop on the silver-tone round with twisted rope watch face so that the watch is at the center of the elasticity.
String the following bead pattern onto each end of the elasticity. You will be using the same apatite beads for each strand, just different stringing holes:
- One Dakota Stones lapis lazuli 4mm faceted roundel bead
- One TierraCast antique silver 5mm beaded heishi spacer
- One Dakota Stones blue apatite 10x20mm double-drilled rectangle bead
- One spacer
Repeat this pattern nine times and then add one lapis lazuli roundel to each strand end.
String one end of the elasticity through the open loop on the watch and tie both ends of the elasticity together. Add a dab of adhesive to secure.
