Jonas Flower Earrings Instructions Designed by Cheri Carlson
These long, dangling earrings have a playful look created by combining lustrous purple beads with sparkling red Swarovski crystals. Although these earrings represent flowers, they aren't just for summer. The rich colors in this design allow you to wear them all year! Try creating these lovely earrings for a beginning beaders' party or for a quick project for yourself.
Step one: Thread one Swarovski 5000 4mm faceted round Hyacinth bead and one Czech glass purple luster whale tail (with the pointed end up) onto a 1 1/2-inch sterling silver 22 gauge head pin to create a link. Finish the wire with a wrapped loop. For help on creating a wrapped loop, please visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center. Set aside.
Step two: Create another link with the same pattern as the link in step two, but use a 1 1/2-inch sterling silver 22 gauge eye pin as the base instead of the head pin. Finish with a wrapped loop. Repeat.
Step three: Attach the first link you created to the eye of the second link, the second link to the third.
Step four: Finish the earring by attaching the wrapped loop to the loop on a .8mm ball end earwire. Repeat steps one through four to create the second earring.
