Monterey Pop Bracelet Instructions Designed by Cynthia Kimura Add a splash of seaside sunset color with this beautiful bracelet. The cheery colors and bold dimension ensures that summer stays a part of your everyday style! Step one: Cut eight strands of blue Super-lon bead cord approximately 24 inches long each. The length should be about three times longer than your desired length of bracelet. Step two: Follow the steps in our kumihimo Handy Tip on braiding with beads to create the braided part of the bracelet. Each cord will have 30 beads each, two for each color listed below: Miyuki 4x7mm Transparent Red AB Long Magatama Bead Miyuki 4x7mm Transparent Orange AB Long Magatama Bead Miyuki 4x7mm Transparent Sapphire AB Long Magatama Bead Miyuki 4x7mm Transparent Green AB Long Magatama Bead Make sure the sapphire magatamas are at the top of your kumihimo disk, the green magatamas are at the bottom, the orange magatamas are on the right and that the red magatamas are at the left of the disk. Step three: Open the 'eye' portion of one 2-inch sterling silver 22 gauge eye pin and then thread or hook it into the knot at the end of the braid. Close the eye. Cut a strand of Nymo thread and wrap it around the braid to secure the braid and the eye pin. Knot and trim the tail of the thread. Trim the excess braid above the wrap. Please refer again to our kumihimo Handy Tip and scroll to 'To finish a Kumihimo braid" steps one and two for images on how to wrap and trim the braid. You may want to add a dab of adhesive to secure the knots. If so, allow it to dry before moving on to step four. Step four: Slide one 10mm antique silver-plated pewter filigree end cap and one Swarovski 6mm faceted round in Burgundy-Blue Zircon Blend onto the eye pin. Attach the eye pin to one half of the antique silver-plated brass sun design magnetic clasp using a wrapped loop technique. Step five: Repeat steps three and four on the other end of the braid to finish the design.
