Congratulations to Judy Climan!

Round 12 Jewelry Design Star Judy Climan discovered her passion for beading about ten years ago, with the help of her friend's then 15-year-old daughter. The teen was making a bracelet using safety pins, seed beads and elastic. After showing Judy how to make the design she was hooked. With her trusted beading needle and thread in hand, Judy plays with Japanese seed beads, Swarovski crystals and pearls when she designs. "There always seems to be a pearl or crystal in all of my creations," she exclaims. She loves creating jewelry for brides and bridal parties the most—especially when she's simply given a color and a starting point, and is left to give it her creative twist. In fact, this was the case for her winning design, "Bridal Bling." Though she has taught beading in the past and would love to do so in the future, for now, Judy is content to enjoy the art of beading. 'Elegant cuff style in freshwater and Swarovski pearls, Swarovski crystals and Miyuki seed beads. My inspiration was the delicately woven Miyuki flowers that I designed and then I incorporated the pearls and crystals to surround them. The result was a stunning , blingy bracelet that also included a touch of the brides’s color scheme.'
