Irish Fleury Cross Necklace Instructions Designed by Cheri Carlson
Just in time for St. Patrick's Day, this "Irish Fleury Cross" design celebrates Ireland's culture with a cherry wood cross pendant and sparkling green Swarovski crystals.
Step one: First, embellish the pendant and the links. Use Gem-Tac adhesive and a jewelry setter to glue a Swarovski SS34 flatback in Erinite onto the center-point of a cherry wood fleury cross pendant. Glue one Swarovski SS20 flatback in Erinite onto each point of the cross. Set aside.
Step two: Glue a Swarovski SS20 flatback in Erinite onto the center-point of a 24mm antique brass decorative flower link and repeat once. Allow time for the glue to dry before turning the links over and embellishing the other side with a flatback. Allow to dry.
Step three: Next, construct the necklace. Working from left to right, use a 4.5mm antique brass-plated 21 gauge open jump ring to connect each of the following components together in this order: a 7-inch piece of antique brass-plated 1+1 infinity link chain, a link from step two, a 5-inch piece of chain, the second link from step two and a 7-inch piece of chain.
Step four: Attach the cross pendant to the center-section of the necklace using an 8mm antique brass-plated open jump ring so that the pendant is able to swing freely along the necklace.
Step five: Connect a 12x7mm antique brass-plated trigger clasp to one end of the necklace using a 4mm antique brass-plated open jump ring. Attach a 6mm antique brass-plated open jump ring to the other end of the necklace; this jump ring will serve as the ring of the clasp.
