If you like to stand out in a crowd or worry that your iPod® or cell phone looks just like dozens of others out there, give it all the character you want with a few dollars in Swarovski flatbacks and a few hours time!
A word of advice: do not attempt a project like this unless you are relaxed and settled in. It takes a lot of patience to complete. You may want to do it in a few sittings.
Use caution when embellishing your iPod® as embellishments can prevent it from fitting in docking devices. We also recommend that you only decorate the back and sides. Avoid any openings on the ends and the front because of the buttons. You do not want to get glue into the mechanics of the system.
Embellishing your iPod® is a simple process. Simply pour out your rhinestones onto paper plates and tap the plate to make the rhinestones flip so that they are right side up. Draw a line of the design that you want to follow with your GS-Hypo cement and, using a Perfect Positioner, pick up your flatbacks and apply them to the line of glue. Work out from that point, applying a small amount of glue at a time. The glue dries quickly, so try not to be impatient and get ahead of yourself.
Tips: If you have rounded edges on the object you are adding rhinestones to, use smaller rhinestones. They need to have full surface contact or they will flake off.
If you have holes in your pattern, fill in with smaller rhinestones.
