Lana May recalls admiring her grandmother's beaded bride's purse as a child in Uzbekistan. She received her first degree in mechanical engineering and a second degree in clothing and accessory design, then owned a clothing-design firm and began designing jewelry to wear with her evening wear. She now lives in Phoenix, Arizona, and teaches at her home studio, in the Phoenix area, all over USA, and during the Tucson JOGS show every year. She is the winner of contests by Bead&Button, Swarovski Elements, Fire Mountain Gems and Beads, Wearable Expressions, and Ring & Things. Her bead work has been published in magazines more 20 times. She is also coordinator of jewelry making classes for J.O.G.S. show every year (www.ArtBeadCircle.com

was published in January, 2010.
