Indigo Empress Pendant Instructions Designed by Cynthia Kimura
Dainty filigree rests atop an alluring deep blue background in this "Indigo Empress pendant." This design is simple enough for beginners so don't hesitate to create your own vintage inspired pendant that just may develop into a lasting family heirloom!
Step one: Paint the inside of a silver-plated pewter grande circle pendant; we used an opaque blue acrylic paint we found at a craft store. Allow the paint to dry per the instructions on the bottle.
Step two: Using the pour spout on the Nunn Design gel du soleil glaze, dispense a thin layer of glaze to fill the pendant halfway. Allow the glaze to settle for a few minutes and pop any surfaced air bubbles with a needle. Place the pendant under a UV lamp to cure for 20 minutes.
Step three: Rest a frosted gold circular filigree floral link on top of the first layer of glaze so that it is centered within the pendant. Carefully dispense a second layer of glaze until it is filled level with the frame of the pendant. Pop any surfaced air bubbles. Use a jewel setter to carefully rest a Swarovski ss34 XILION flatback in rose white opal on top of the glaze so that it sits in the center of the floral link. Place the pendant under a UV lamp to cure for an additional 20 minutes.
