With the open jump ring, use two chain nose pliers—one to hold the back side and another to steady the open front portion. |  | Use the pliers to gently squeeze the ends together, which will in turn slide one end of the ring into the small opening on the other end. The closed jump ring will look like the above image. |  | Once the ends are fitted together, slide the small tab on the outside of the ring across your newly-closed end. This should lock the ring in place. |
