How To Use Epoxy Clay

Epoxy clay offers a unique way to make one-of-a-kind jewelry designs. It will adhere to almost any kind of material including metal, wood and glass. It's really easy to use and takes little effort to create something beautiful. Just follow these quick steps!
Step 1Step 2Step 3
Mix equal parts A and B together in your hands and knead together for at least 4 minutes. It's best to do a combination pattern of kneading the clay together and rolling it in your hands in order to thoroughly blend the two parts. Once the two parts are mixed, you can work with the clay for up to 90 minutes before it starts to harden.
Remember, a little bit goes a long way! Work with small portions at a time because the clay can be manipulated to cover larger surfaces than expected. If you're affixing it to a jewelry finding, press the clay into the finding and then smooth out fingerprints to create a nice surface.
We added a second layer over our first mold to create more dimension, but it is not necessary.
Step 4Step 5
You may also add any decorative pieces like rhinestones, beads or other multimedia components. Gently press your pieces into the clay for a snug fit. When you're satisfied with your design, let it cure for 24 hours; no need to bake. It's best to rest the clay on wax paper so it does not stick to your surface as it cures. Any smooth, non-porous surface should work if you don't have wax paper. It should not shrink or fade once cured.
Follow the manufacturer's guidelines on how to clean your finished design. Some epoxy clay should be wiped with a damp cloth while other epoxy clay can be submerged in warm water.
