Jeans buttons are the ultimate way to give designs a professional finish. Their sturdy design and decorative uses make them versatile embellishments and closures everyone loves! This Handy Tip will get you on your way to attaching jeans buttons to your very own designs.
In order to attach jeans buttons to your designs, use either TOOL-0048 or TOOL-0049 with the crystal applicator tool. TOOL-0048 is used for attaching 14mm buttons to designs, while TOOL-0049 is used for 17mm buttons. If you are working with one size, you can purchase just the tool set you need. However, if you work with both sizes, these tools are sold in a set, so you don't have to spend more buying them separately.
Place the dies into the tool. These tools are labeled "top" and "bottom" so you know where to put them. The piece that says "top" goes into the upper die holder and the piece that says "bottom" goes into the lower die holder.
Adjust the stroke adjustment screw to allow the upper and lower die to meet when the tool is squeezed.
Place the prong end of the jeans button into the lower die holder, with the prong facing upward.
Place the button face down into the upper die.
Make sure to push the crystal past the silver dots inside the die until it clicks into place.
Place your fabric between the dies so that you attach your button where you want it. Make sure you are attaching your button on the right side. Squeeze the handles of the crystal applicator to attach the button. Your jeans button is now attached to your design.
