Print this Learning Center Idea

STEP ONE: choosing the beads and the spacers

Browse through our vast collection of beads in a variety of colors, materials, shapes and sizes. Check out our sterling silver spacers and pewter spacers.

STEP TWO: choosing the clasps and other components

Select the clasp and cones that you would like to use in your necklace.

STEP THREE: choosing the findings

Select the open jump rings and head pins and eye pins for your design. Also be sure to browse through our crimp tubes, crimp covers and crimp ends.

STEP FOUR: tools and wire needed

You will need a crimper tool, a cutter and flat nose pliers if you are using a very small crimp. It is easier to open and close a jump ring with two chain nose pliers when you attach a charm or a small pendant. You will also need a cutter and round nose pliers to make a loop at the head pin or eye pin when creating dangles. Select the tools and jewelry wire that will work best for your design.

STEP FIVE: assemble everything together

To finish your jewelry, you will need to crimp the wire. Check out our step by step instructions or our informative handy tip video. For instructions how to use a crimp cover, take a look at this handy tip. Be sure to check out our video that provides helpful tips on using jump rings. Also be sure to view our videos on making single loops and wrapped loops.
