How to Get Started With Bracelets - Fibers

Print this Learning Center Idea

STEP ONE: choosing the fibers

Browse through our vast collection of fibers, and select the style that you like.

STEP TWO: choosing some fun items

Select some beads, links or watch faces for your bracelet.

STEP THREE: choosing some spacers and a clasp

Select the clasp that will give your design the perfect finishing touch.

STEP FOUR: choosing the findings

Browse through our crimp tubes, crimp covers and crimp ends. Select the jump rings, head pins and eye pins for your design. Next, be sure to select jewelry wire for your bracelet.

STEP FIVE: tools needed

It is easier to open and close a jump ring with two chain nose pliers when you attach a charm or a small pendant. You will also need round nose pliers to make a loop for the head pin or eye pin if you don't have a bail and a cutter. Select the tools that will work best for your design.

STEP SIX: assemble your design

For more information on how to use an end cap or crimp end to attach a ribbon, check out these useful instructions. Be sure to check out this handy tip if you would like to use silver wire with your fibers. Be sure to also check out our instructional video on using jump rings, single loops and wrapped loops.
