As seen in Beadwork Magazine, these sticks from the Hill Tribe silver collection are all the rage this season! If you don't want to purchase the 10 - 12 packs of sticks it would take to make a necklace out of them, consider mixing them with other materials. Here our designer chose peacock pearls for a gorgeous mix of rustic and elegant that gives real impact to this piece!
Step one: Cut a length of ZambaPro™ 49 .019 jewelry wire to a length of approximately 19 inches. Attach it to the bar end of the Hill Tribe toggle clasp using a 2x2mm sterling silver crimp tube. For detailed instructions on how to use a crimp tube please visit the Handy Tips section of our Learning Center. Cut any excess wire after crimping.
Step two: String six inches of pearls (approximately 37 of the 6-6.5mm button pearls). Follow that with random combinations of one to five sticks separated by a pearl, continue until you have used all your sticks, or added approximately five and a half inches to your necklace.
Step three: String six more inches of pearls and finish by attaching the end of the wire to the loop end of the toggle with another 2x2mm crimp tube. Trim the excess wire, and you are done!
