This necklace pays homage to natural beauty with its blackberry pendant, floral motifs, leaf chain and even an ivy clasp. With pastel colors and olivine accents, it features all the beauty of springtime in Big Sky Country. For a matching set of earrings see the design instructions for the Moonlit Forest earrings.
Step One: Cut a 2-inch piece of silver-plated leaf chain. When cutting, a couple of leaf charms will fall off the chain. Set those aside to use later. Cut an approximately 8-inch piece of ZambaPro™ 49 .019 jewelry wire. Crimp one end of the wire to an end link in the leaf chain using a 2x2mm sterling silver crimp tube. Cover with a 3mm sterling silver crimp cover. For help with crimp tubes and covers visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center. Trim any excess wire.
Step Two: On the wire, string an antique silver floral round, an olivine round and a light lavender roundelle. Continue stringing in this order: a 6mm Swarovski bicone in light peach, an olivine round, a 4mm Swarovski faceted bicone in lime, a lavender roundelle, a lime bicone and an olivine round. Repeat this pattern. String a peach bicone and an antique silver wild rose bead and then repeat the pattern three more times. Add a peach bicone, lavender roundelle and an olivine round. Finish the wire by crimping to a 4.60mm open jump ring using a crimp tube. Cover with a crimp cover. Trim any excess wire.
Step Three: String the leaf charms you set aside in step one onto a 4.60mm open jump ring and attach the jump ring to the end of the wire. Using a 4.60mm open jump ring, attach the silver-plated pewter ivy leaf toggle clasp.
Step Four: String a 3mm Swarovski faceted round in olivine on a 1 1/2-inch head pin. Attach to the leaf chain using a wrapped loop. For help with wrapped loops visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center. Repeat six times, spacing them evenly throughout the chain section. String an olivine round on a head pin and attach to the jump ring section near the clasp using a wrapped loop. Repeat twice.
Step Five: Repeat steps one through four to create the other half of the necklace. Attach the open ends of leaf chain to the purple with the blackberry-themed sterling/resin pendant using 4.20mm open jump rings.
