We made our colorful Valentine's necklace 19 inches, but you can make yours any length you wish. The silk string is approximately 42 inches long. The knots will take up some of that length so if you start in the middle of the string and work your way toward the ends you will have enough string to adjust the length of the necklace.
Note: Use a big eye beading needle to thread the silk string through the felt beads.
Step one: Attach a sterling silver open jump ring to the pewter spiral heart charm and the two pewter mini spiky heart charms.
Step two: On the orange silk string thread on a 4mm hyacinth lined jonquil cube Toho, a Congo red felt bead, Toho, a pewter mini spiky heart charm , Toho, a dark pink felt bead, Toho, the pewter spiral heart charm, Toho, a strong orange felt bead, Toho, a spiky heart charm, Toho, a Congo red felt bead and a Toho. Center this section of beads on the silk string and tie a knot on each side.
Step three: On one side of the necklace, measure two inches from the knot and tie another knot. Add a Toho, orange felt bead and a Toho. Tie a knot. Measure one inch, tie a knot. Add a Toho, a dark pink felt bead and a Toho. Tie a knot. Measure one inch, tie a knot. Add a Toho, a Congo red felt bead and a Toho. Tie a knot. Measure a ½ inch and tie a knot. Trim the string to ½ inch or add length to your necklace as you wish. Repeat for the other side of the necklace.
Step four: Use amazing goop craft adhesive to attach the 2mm capped hook & eye crimp clasp set to each end of the silk string. Allow to dry.
