The combination of braided leather with the ceramic bear pendant creates a necklace that is both sophisticated and natural. Symbolizing self-knowledge and power, the heartline bear pendant celebrates the contemporary spirit of Native American jewelry.
Note: With this design we recommend using nylon jaw pliers. However, if you have trouble with the pliers slipping against the crimp clasp, chain nose pliers can be used with a jeweler's polishing cloth.
Step one: Cut approximately 24-inches of braided black leather. Slide the ceramic square bear pendant onto the leather.
Step two: Attach each half of the hook and eye crimp clasp set to the ends of the leather using nylon jaw pliers. Press opposite ends of the crimps together at the rounded bumps to avoid damaging the metal. For added security, apply a small amount of E6000 glue before connecting the clasp to the leather.
