Cut or punch out desired transfer. | | Drop the image into a small bowl of room temperature water. Let soak for about a minute. The film-like image will gradually release from the backing paper. | | Remove the transfer from water and place on a paper towel or a lint-free cloth. Gently dab away any excess water. |
Slide the image away from the backing paper and apply face-up directly onto your chosen surface. If necessary, gently shift or press the image into position using a cloth, paper towel or a cotton swab. Dab lightly to release any air bubbles. Do not rub, as the transfer may tear. | | | | Brush a thin layer of Nunn Design Sealant over dried image. Let dry thoroughly. Make sure to apply sealant over the edges to ensure a good hold. NOTE: Cover the filled frame pendant with a dish to protect the wet surface from dust while drying. |
Leave as is, or for a high-gloss finish, fill pendant with Diamond Glaze, DG3, Gel du Soleil, or other resin coatings. Follow all label directions for any glaze or resin. If you do choose to apply resin, be sure that sealant is completely dry before applying. | | If applying resin, allow pendant to cure under a UV lamp according to resin label instructions. | | USEFUL NOTES:
If you find that you are having problems with air bubbles as you apply the resin, try taking the nozzle off the bottle and pouring the resin instead. After pouring, you have plenty of time to tip your design and spread the resin or to wipe away mistakes. The resin won't start hardening until after it is placed under a UV light. If after the resin has cured you notice dust or fingerprints, sand these off and add another coat of resin on top as the resin will dry crystal clear even after the sanding process. |
