Halloween is time to dress up, have fun, and revert to our youth. Take this simple design and let everyone see your childlike side.
Step one: This earring set is a series of links. It is sometimes easiest to make all the links and then connect them. We are going to instruct you in that manner. To begin, string a single, 4mm gold-filled, round, seamless beads onto four separate ½ inch, sterling silver, 24 gauge eye pins. Finish the links with a simple loop. For detailed instructions on how to make simple loops, please visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center.
Step two: Use the same instructions to make four more links with 4mm Czech fire polished glass beads in hyacinth.
Step three: On the last two eye pins, string an orange-red flat flower bead (face up) followed by a 3mm Swarovski faceted jet bicone and finish with a simple loop.
Step four: Connect the links by opening the loops slightly, attaching the next link and closing. The pattern is as follows: sterling silver earwire with gold ball, fire polished link, gold round link, flower link, gold round link and then the last fire polished link. At the bottom of the earring attach a sterling silver Halloween pumpkin charm.
Boo! You have just completed a pair of fun jack-o-lantern earrings to be worn with Halloween spirit or given as fun alternatives to candy!
