This bracelet will make a wonderful gift for your graduate. Help them celebrate this day in style!
Step one: Start by attaching an open jump ring to the clasp and then closing it.
Step two: Next, cut nine 3-inch pieces of half-hard sterling silver wire.
Step three: To make your links, you will need to take one of your 3-inch pieces of wire and make a wrapped loop on one end. For detailed instructions on how to make a wrapped loop, visit the Handy Tip section of the Learning Center. Attach the loop to the open jump ring on the clasp.
Step four: Add a bead cap, a light blue 6mm cats eye bead, and another bead cap to the wire. Finish with another wrapped loop, but before you start wrapping, attach a closed jump ring.
Step five: Start making another link by repeating step three. This time, before you close, you will attach the loop to the closed jump ring from your first link.
Step six: Repeat step four, but alternate your colors.
Step Seven: Continue making links and attaching them until you run out of wire. Alternate colors as you go.
Step eight: When you finish your last link, the closed jump ring will be attached to a larger open jump ring, which is what the clasp will hook onto.
Step nine: To make the dangles, slide a bead cap, a bead, and another bead cap onto a headpin. To attach it to the bracelet, use the same wrapped loop technique you used in making the links. We attached a charm or dangle to the closed jump rings of every other link and will attach to the closed jump rings.
Step ten: To attach the charms, simply open an open jump ring by twisting it side to side using chain nose pliers. Never open the ends by pulling vertically away from each other as this will weaken the link. Add the charm and then attach it to th closed jump ring and close the open jump ring.
