Gold and bronze summons the fall season, whether you are ushering in autumn or simply look ravishing in warm neutral tones, these earrings will be a certain must have.
Step one: On 1½-inch gold-filled eye pins, make several links. Use the 6mm fire-polished earth tone mix and 4mm gold Swarovski pearls for your focal beads. Accent with 5mm and 3mm gold-filled rounds and 4mm vermeil daisy spacers. You do not need to follow our pattern exactly. These are very free form earrings. Our artist made 8 links of varying lengths for each earring, and one to connect the dangles to the earwire. Finish each link with a simple loop. For detailed instructions on how to make simple loops, please visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center.
Step two: Attach the links to one another to make 3 short strands (6 for two earrings). Make sure the lengths are all a bit different.
Step three: At the bottom of each strand, attach an antique gold pewter oak leaf charm using a gold-filled 14k open jump ring 4.30mm x .030mm.
Step four: Attach your links to the spacer bar. For the outside links, simply run a headpin through the bar and make a simple loop at the end. Attach your links to that loop. For the center, use and eye pin. On one end attach the links, then add a 3mm gold-filled round, bring it through the center hole, add another round, and make a simple loop.
Step five: To attach the links to the earwire, make another loop using a 6mm fire-polished bead surrounded by daisy spacers on an eye pin. Attach one end of the eye pin to the links, and make a simple loop in the other end to attach it to an open jump ring, which in turn, connects to the earwire.
