Get ready for fall with this beautiful garnet necklace. Garnet is said to be a healing stone that revitalizes life energy and warms those who wear it. Combined with the beautiful craftsmanship of the Hill Tribe people of Thailand, this necklace makes a thoughtful and beautiful gift.
Step one: Cut a length of Soft Touch to approximately 19 inches. Attach one end of the wire to the loop end of your toggle clasp using a 2x2mm sterling silver crimp tube. For detailed instructions on how to use a crimp tube please visit the Handy Tips area of our web site.
Step two: Beginning with a 2mm garnet bead, alternate between the 2mm round garnet and the garnet rice beads. String this pattern for approximately eight inches, and then add your large flower picture pendant. Reverse the pattern as you work back toward the other end of your wire. Always remember to leave an inch or so of wire to finish the project with.
Step three: Crimp the tail end of the wire to the bar of the toggle clasp. Trim the excess wire.
You now have a simple, beautiful necklace that is delicate enough for even the conservative jewelry wearer.
Approximate size: 17 inches Approximate Cost: Under $20 (does not include stringing material) For another variation using the beautiful Hill Tribe flower design pendant, check out the Flowers on Ice necklace in the Ideas section.
