| In the spirit of Nemo, August 2nd is Fish Are Friends, Not Food Day. So prepare now by making this fun and playful sea life bracelet. You can even incorporate pictures of your fishy friends if you like!
We found these colorful postage stamps of fish to use in this whimsical bracelet and applied them to the frames using glossy accents. Use any royalty free images, original artwork or photographs to express your creative style.
Note: Be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions for applying Glossy Accents.
Step one: Cut images to fit the frames, the antique copper large square picture frame, the antique copper simple rectangle picture frame and the antique copper simple square picture frame link. Use a small paint brush to apply Mod Podge to the back of the images and place them into the frames. Gently press and smooth out any bubbles. Apply more Mod Podge to the surface of the images. Allow to dry.
Step two: Apply Glossy Accents to the frames. Start the flow of Glossy Accents on a piece of scrap paper to release any air bubbles that may be trapped in the tip of the bottle. And as you apply the glossy accents to the surface continue filling the area without lifting the tip off of the surface. this will help prevent bubbles from occurring.If air bubbles do occur, pop with a pin. Allow to dry. Add additional coats if desired.
Step three: Attach a sterling silver open jump ring to the loops on the frames. Use a jump ring to attach the antique silver-plated small seahorse charm to the bottom loop of the square picture frame link.
Step four: On a sterling silver 2-inch head pin thread a CRYSTALLIZED™ blue zircon round. Attach to a sterling silver jump ring with a wrapped loop. For help making wrapped loops please visit the Handy Tips section in the Learning Center. Repeat three times. Repeat four more times, this time using a CRYSTALLIZED™ Caribbean blue opal round.
Step five: On a sterling silver 2-inch eye pin thread a blue zircon and attach to a jump ring with a wrapped loop. Repeat once. Repeat two more times, this time using a Caribbean blue opal. Attach the antique silver-plated dolphin charm to the simple loop on one of these beaded dangles. Use the following charms and repeat for the other three dangles, sterling silver embossed seashell charm, antique silver-plated whale charm and the antique silver-plated round fish charm.
Step six: Cut a 7-inch piece of chain and use jump rings to attach the sterling silver fish hook and eye clasp to each end of the chain. Attach the dangles to the bracelet in any order you wish.
