Recycled Fibers Trinket Jar Instructions

We believe in recycling at Artbeads.com. We all have leftover ends and pieces of fibers from our jewelry and craft projects, here is a creative way to use those fibers on a fun and functional trinket jar! Apply Terrifically Tacky Tape to any jar you like, apply the fiber pieces end to end and wind them tightly up the jar as you work. We used microfiber suede, satin cord and leather on this jar. We found the microfiber stretched and then pulled back a bit leaving small gaps between the ends, the satin tended to fray as we worked with it. We found a solution by dabbing a dot of E-6000 glue to those areas and covering them with Swarovski rhinestones. To finish the jar, find a piece of leftover ribbon to wrap around the top of the jar! No more throwing away those leftover bits of colorful ribbon, fiber and leather, now you can turn them into inexpensive, thoughtful gifts.
