This adorable ornament can be made in a couple of hours, but will be treasured for a lifetime!
Step one: Cut several feet of Nymo D thread and string your frosted silver-lined lemon beads in a circle big enough to go over the top of the ornament. Run the thread through the circle several times. Tie a knot in the thread to hold the beads, but do not cut it.
Step two: Affix the ring to the top of the ornament with GS-Hypo cement. String a mix of beads and charms around the circumference of the ornament. When you reach the top, weave back through the circle of beads a quarter of the way around and make another loop of mixed beads perpendicular to the first. Run the thread around the circle a few more times and tie off the thread. Trim the end.
Step three: Apply a small amount of GS-Hypo cement to the bottom of the ornament to hold the two rings of beads in place.
Step four: Cut four pieces of ZambaPro™ 49 .019 jewelry wire to different lengths. Crimp each one to the top circle of beads between the other strands using 2x2mm crimp tubes. For detailed instructions on how to use a crimp tube, please visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center.
Step five: String the wires with mixes of beads and charms. Finish three of the four with a topaz and silver Swarovski roundelle and a copper leaf link. The fourth can just have a larger Toho bead at the bottom or one of your other charms.
Step six: Gather the strands together at the bottom of the ornament and loosely wrap with a short piece of brass craft wire.
