Shadow Box Picture Frame Instructions Designed by Cynthia Kimura
How do you frame a child worthy of fame? Highlight them in their own shadow box! This adorable shadow box picture frame can be made with charms that best represent the person in the picture. Trade out the baseball for ballet, or Daddy's Girl charms, whatever it takes to make it your own.
Step one: Prepare the charms by replacing the ring that comes on the charms with a 6.4x9.6mm oval jump ring. Attach that ring to an 0.76x8mm medium closed jump ring.
Step two: Measure the back of the frame and mark how far apart you want to put the charms.
Step three: Cut small squares of sturdy paper. Dab some glue on the mark on the frame and also on the paper.
Step four: Place the closed jump ring on the glue and put the paper on top of it, sandwiching the charm in.
Step five: Press for 1 to 2 minutes. The glue dries very quickly so be careful of the charms slipping out of place. Make sure they stay square to the frame. The glue will likely ooze out of the sides of the paper, it can be cleaned up by scraping with a toothpick.
