This bracelet represents the changing of the seasons from green to brown. This bracelet looks more structured than it is. We incorporated Swarovski bicones, Czech druk and fire polished beads. It is a great project for left over beads when you are cleaning up your bead box!
Step one: Make numerous sets of five similarly colored beads strung onto gold-filled eye pins. Vary the size and shape of the beads. Finish each with a simple loop. It is important that your loops go in the same direction as the loops of the eye pin. For detailed instructions on how to make a simple loop please visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center. You will use beads in varying shades of red, orange, yellow, green, brown and gold. We made 23 links for this bracelet, but you may need more or less to fit your wrist. When you have your links completed, lay them out in the color order you want them to appear in the finished piece.
Step two: Cut two pieces of Soft Flex Gold Flex wire to approximately 11 inches. Run both wires through a 2x2mm gold-filled crimp tube and leave a 2 inch tail. Crimp the wires together. For detailed instructions on how to use a crimp tube, please visit the Handy Tips section of the Learning Center. Snip one of the wires clean against the crimp tube on the TAIL end. Run the other wire through a 4mm jonquil druk bead and attach it to the gold-filled spring ring using another crimp tube.
Step three: On the side of the crimp with two wires, string both wires through a 6mm jonquil druk bead. At this point, separate the wires and string four 4mm jonquil druks on each strand. Beginning at one end of your color palette, string one of the links onto the bracelet by placing one strand of Soft Flex through each end of the eye pin. Add a 4mm druk to each side and continue until you have strung all of the links.
Step four: String four more 4mm druks to each side. String both strands through a 6mm druk, and crimp the strands together. Snip one of the strands, string another 4mm druk, and attach the strand to a gold-filled open jump ring with a crimp tube. Trim the excess wire and you are done!
Approximate Length: 6 ½ inches Approximate Cost: Under $35.00 (does not include stringing material)
