The Greek mythology behind peacocks says that in order to commemorate her faithful watchman, Hera, the queen of heaven, had the hundred eyes of Argus preserved forever, in a peacock's tail.
Step one: For the pendant, form a spiral at one end of a six-inch piece of sterling silver round wire. For help making a wire spiral please visit the Handy Tips section in the Learning Center.
Step two: Add the onyx peacock bead, a Swarovski 6mm Caribbean blue opal bicone and the sterling silver peridot bead frame with a Swarovski 8mm Caribbean blue opal bicone in the window. Step three: Cut a twenty-four inch piece of ZambaPro™ 49 jewelry wire. Use a sterling silver 2x2mm crimp tube to crimp to the loop end of the pewter antique silver large leaf toggle clasp set. Step four: Combine 36 of the dark aqua-orange roundelles and the wasabi-dark aqua roundelles in a random fashion. Add a Czech glass blue-green with Picasso grooved rectangle, ten more roundelles, another Czech rectangle, three roundelles, Czech rectangle, ten roundelles and the peacock pendant. Reverse the pattern for the other side of the necklace.
Step five: To finish the necklace use a crimp tube to crimp to the bar end of the toggle clasp. Trim the excess jewelry wire.
